Macau, life, photography 3 Comments

well, today will be my last day in macau. i am definitely going to miss my room, my bed, my space, the big apartment and last but not least, the most important of all, my privacy.

took some shots from my room and balcony again. these are the shots that i like.

pardon me for my amateur-ish skills. that is all from macau. look forward to me in hongkong.

Alien

Macau, life 2 Comments

sorry for the lack of update. lately i do not have the mood to do any writing.

part of the reason is that i am now officially an alien over here. i have been spotted and forced to leave. i am now barred from entering for 50 days. should i enter, i will be forever blacklisted and deported. that puts me in a very bad mood. this means i would have to stay over in the bloody small apartment in hongkong. where i will have to put up with sharing a room that is even smaller than my kitchen over here. for the next 50 days!!! being in hongkong would also mean that i would lose the amazing allowance that i am currently getting being here. do not ask me why i get it while i am over here and not when i am in hongkong. the way things are being done is just too darn weird for me to figure out. only consolation is that i got quite a nice sum for the past one and the half months over here.

another reason why i have not been writing anything is because my personal laptop is currently involved in some personal projects. thus making it unavailable for the purpose of writing. it will take some time for me to figure out and finish what i am playing with. i do not like using the company’s laptop to update the site. do not ask me why, i just do not like the idea of doing it.

took some pictures again. will update them when i am not feeling so lazy. that is about it for now. as i will be in hongkong for the next 50 days starting next week, i might write less because i am not bringing my laptop over. would be too troublesome to lug 2 laptops and a big haversack onto the ferry. i am gonna miss my laptop for the next 50 days :( my camera would be with me though. hopefully i will be taking some pictures with it.

that is all.

Doggies eating eggtarts going to church for cinemas

Macau, photography No Comments

finally gotten to time to meet up with my friend in macau.
since it was a cold day, we had steam boat for dinner with her 2 other friends on saturday night.

met up with them again on sunday and headed to a doggie event organised by MAWA(Macau
Animal Welfare Association). saw plenty of cute looking as well as huge and intimidating canines there. seems like people nowadays prefer to keep pet dogs more.
i did not see much huge dogs over there. most small little dogs that “tai tais” or girls like to keep.

had some eggtarts after that. i was so happy to have eggtarts that i forgot to snap some pictures.
actually i never had the habit of taking pictures of my food too.

went on to the ruins of st. paul. snapped some shots from The Ruins of St. Paul Church as well. we can see what was left of the entrance to the church, some skeletal remains of somebody important(i presume),some items and paintings being displayed in there. i intend to go back there again on my own later to snap more pictures.

after that we went to watch Resident Evil 3 at one of the very few cinemas in macau. it reminds me of the cinemas that i used to go to in Kluang,my hometown with the exception of it being larger and clean.
it gives me the feeling of those late 80’s, early 90’s kind of cinema. too bad i am not allowed to take pictures in there.

Click to view pictures. there are quite a lot of them, beware if you are on slow connection.

Things to Come

Macau, life, wishlist 4 Comments

Life is Macau is still pretty mundane. To me, it is still very lacking in a lot of places. Of course that means there is a lot of room for improvement and growth.Just to quote a personal experience, I had to search at least 4 shops before I could find myself some contact lense solutions.
The tap water here at my apartment is dirty, with loads of sediments in it. Makes me wonder if I would get through life in Macau with my health intact or not.

To make life slightly easier for myself, I have gotten a prepaid card to make calls or sms, else I would be pretty cut off from people who does not come online often,i.e. my parents. I am also counting down to getting a digital camera of my choice, Canon S5 IS by November. That is pretty much fixed, but I still need to find out where I could get a good deal for it in Macau. It is tough to shop in Macau.

Next on the list is a bicycle, very likely to be a road bike/mountain bike or whatever bike you call it. Actually I have a tough time deciding which to get. I am tempted to get road bikes for speed after watching OverDrive, a cycling anime(i’m easily influenced by animes) but the traffic conditions is just not good for speed riding. Mountain bikes seems more like the choice but it is tough shopping in Macau. I am also very interested in getting Ipod Touch. It looks very nifty but 8GB or 16GB options only makes it a little low on disk space for my liking. No, I am not going to say tough shopping in Macau again cause I do not intend to get it in Macau.

Other than that, I am still trying to fit in into tiny little Macau. I will be heading over to Hong Kong for the weekend. So look forward to some other updates when I feel like updating.

Oh yeah, I will be migrating sponkers.wordpress.com to www.sponkers.com soon. Hosting and domain provided by my dear brother who is running his www.abnerd.com. Look forward to more contents and updates.
